Letter from Pres. Gourley: Happy Classified School Employees Week!

Dear OSEA members,

Today marks the beginning of Classified School Employees Week, and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all the hardworking classified staff across the state who keep our schools running and help students learn.

OSEA members like you have shown genuine class in the face of challenging work environments, student needs, a global pandemic, wildfires, staffing shortages… I could go on. Over and over again, you have risen to the challenges of the last few years with grace and resilience. Oregon classified school employees truly have proven that “we make it work, with class!”

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you do for our schools, students, union and community. You put the class in classified and I could not be more proud to work alongside you.

In unity,

Lisa Gourley,
OSEA President
