Become an activist; apply for MOSI today

It’s time to register for OSEA’s 12th annual Member Organizing Summer Institute (MOSI), a three-day training held Friday, Aug. 26, through Sunday, Aug. 28, at the OSEA State Office in Salem. Applicants must submit a completed application form — signed by their chapter president — along with a statement of intent to the OSEA State Office by 5 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Members who attend MOSI learn how to develop a worksite organizing program; increase member participation; support contract negotiations; organize activities in support of chapter issues; recruit new members; and utilize OSEA and AFT resources.

Each chapter may send up to two members to this training; however, total enrollment will be limited to 20. Participants will be provided lodging, meals and time release, if necessary. Each graduate will receive training certification. Contact the OSEA State Office at 800-252-6732 for more information.
