BeAnn Smith of Hermiston Chapter 10 Named Zone VII Director

Following the resignation of Zone VII Director Anjee Young-Whitnah, who left her job with La Grande School District earlier this year, the Board of Directors has elected BeAnn Smith of Hermiston Chapter 10 to serve as director of Zone VII until officer elections are held at Conference 2022. Any OSEA member in good standing can run for an elected position. Candidates are elected by delegates at our Conference each year. Lisa Gourley was elected state president at OSEA’s Conference 2019, which was attended by over 250 delegates in June. A special education assistant at Sweet Home High School, Gourley became an OSEA member in 1995. She has served Sweet Home Chapter 3 as president, vice president, and on numerous committees.
