Don’t Believe Everything You Hear from Anti-Worker, Anti-Education Organizations
You may have received glossy mailers from “opt-out” anti-worker, anti-education organizations who are once again targeting OSEA members. While education employees are working hard to keep schools running under extraordinary circumstances, these groups are spending a lot of money to attack our unity.
Member density — the percentage of represented workers who are members of the union — matters at the bargaining table. Negotiation teams know it. Administrators know it. And anti-labor political organizations know it, too. They want to weaken our membership to silence our voice and take away our contract rights.
Our unity is our strength. Now more than ever, OSEA members are standing together to support one another through challenging times. Don’t fall for deceptive campaigns from groups that want to slash our salaries, cut school funding and eliminate collective bargaining.
