Endorsements start with you!
OSEA’s member-driven candidate endorsement process is underway, with volunteers asking tough questions of those seeking seats in the Oregon Legislature.
All candidates are asked the same questions to ensure consistency. All questions address issues affecting OSEA members, seeking answers on education funding, protecting workers from injury, outsourcing jobs and more.
Recommendations from the candidate interview teams are then passed on to the Government Relations Committee — comprised of members from across the state — and then to OSEA’s Board of Directors.
“Endorsements are made solely on education and labor issues,” OSEA President Tim Stoelb said. “This grassroots vetting of candidates is a great chance for us to ask the tough questions and expect real answers.”
