Introducing the Worksite Organizer Incentive Program
OSEA launched a new Worksite Organizer (WSO) Incentive Program at Leadership Summit III, with cash prizes for WSOs and new members.
The WSO Incentive Program comes as Oregon enacts House Bill (HB) 2016, which gives union representatives new rights and obligations to meet with new hires in their bargaining unit. WSOs now have unprecedented opportunities to share the benefits of union membership with their colleagues.
“It’s great to be launching this friendly competition now, as our union adapts to HB 2016,” said OSEA President Lisa Gourley. “The incentive program is an exciting way to strengthen our chapters, reward our worksite organizers and welcome new members.”
Cash prizes in three categories:
- WSO with the most new members
The WSO (or other OSEA member) who signs up the greatest number of new members will win $1,000. - WSO raffle
Earn a raffle ticket for each new member you sign up. Applications must include your name at the bottom of the form. The drawing will be held at Conference and four winning tickets will be chosen:- First prize: $1,000
- Second prize: $800
- Third prize: $600
- Fourth prize: $400
- New member raffle
Every new member who joins OSEA during the contest will receive a free OSEA T-shirt. (Write their T-shirt size at the bottom of the application.) They will also be entered in a raffle to win $1,000! Winner will be drawn at Conference 2020.
Eligibility:
New members must complete applications between Jan. 25 and June 19, 2020. Completed applications must be received by OSEA by June 19 at 5 p.m.
WSOs (or other OSEA members) must legibly print their full name at the bottom of each application to receive credit in the incentive program. To receive a T-shirt, new members should write their shirt size at the bottom of their application.
All winners must be active members of OSEA at the time of the drawing to receive prizes. Winners do not need to be in attendance at Conference.
