Speak up now about Oregon Budget

Oregon faces a massive $1.8 billion budget deficit that, if unresolved, will mean painful cuts to schools, health care and other critical services we rely on daily. Meanwhile, the world’s largest corporations enjoy the nation’s lowest taxes here in Oregon — that’s unacceptable.

But it’s not too late to speak up before the budget is written. Your voice could have a huge impact on what happens next.

Here’s how:

The Oregon Legislature’s Joint Ways and Means Committee is holding a series of public hearings in seven cities across the state between Feb. 10 and March 3. We need OSEA members to show up at every meeting. Tell them we won’t accept cuts to Oregon’s schools, health care and critical services while the world’s largest corporations enjoy the nation’s lowest taxes.
